Dr. Hannelore Lee-Jahnke is a Professor at the University of Geneva and Honorary President of CIUTI. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Linguistic University of Minsk, and has 6 honorary professorships from universities in China and Canada. In 2013 she was awarded the Medal Joseph ZAAROUR (Université St. Joseph, Beyrouth) for outstanding works on higher academic level, bringing different cultures together, and respecting social rules and defending the highest values in human communication. In 2015 she was awarded the prestigious prize of the Abdulah bin Adulaziz International Award for Translation Foundation for outstanding individual efforts within translation studies and intercultural communication. She has published largely in the field of translation didactics, training the trainers, interdisciplinary research, mainly in emotion studies and neurosciences, and is co-author of Translation Terminology which has been translated into 16 languages.
