International Collaboration
The STS has agreements with universities both in China and abroad. The exchange program with Humboldt University and the joint master’s program with Hong Kong Polytechnic University have proved to be particularly fruitful. We also collaborate with universities in English-speaking countries around the world. We have established a dual-study program with Herriot-Watt University, the University of Essex and the University of Portsmouth in the UK, and Grand Valley State University in the US.
Joining a Partnership with XISU's School of Translation Studies
We already have academic partnerships with translation and interpreting departments at the University of Essex, University of Westminster, and Heriot-Watt University. For example, concerning our partnership with the University of Westminster, we are able to offer a Translation and Interpreting dual program for fourth-year undergraduate students, which provides exciting opportunities for students of translation and interpreting at both universities.
If your translation and interpreting department is interested in a partnership with us, please contact us at sts@xisu.edu.cn and we can begin the process, which, if successful, will culminate in a written legal agreement between your university and XISU, and in the possibility of student and staff exchanges, as well as joint academic programs.
There are many potential benefits to such a partnership, such as creating opportunities for students to gain experience overseas, for staff to teach for a semester or more in each other’s universities, and for other academic exchanges, such as conferences and academic forums.
