Dr. XIE Tianzhen (谢天振) is Professor of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), director of Research Center for Translation Studies of SISU, Adjunct Professor of Peking U., Fudan U., and other ten famous universities in China, editor in chief of Comparative Literature in China (quarterly) and East Journal of Translation (bimonthly). He is the author of numerous books and articles, such as A Translation Study beyond Translation (2014), Comparative Literature and Translation Studies (2011), A Brief History of Translation in China and the West (2009), Introducing Translation Theories Abroad (2008), The Introduction to Medio-Translatology (2007), an A History of Translated Literature in Modern China (1898-1949) (2004).
