Dr. REN Wen (任文) is a Professor at the School of Foreign Languages, Sichuan University. Her research interests include translation studies and cultural studies. She has published close to fifty research papers. She has served on the adjudicator board of the national English speech contest and interpreting contests at various levels. She is a council member of China Translators’ Association, a member of the expert committee of China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI), a standing member of Sichuan Province Translators’ Association and of Chengdu Municipal Translators’ Association. She has interpreted for various heads of state during their visits in China, including former US Vice President Joe Biden, former US First Lady Michelle Obama, former Australian PM Robert Hawke, and Former Canadian Governor-General Rt. Michaëlle Jean, former Pakistani PM Shaukat Aziz, and former Sri Lanka PM Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka.
