LI Zhengren (李正仁) is a distinguished adjunct professor at XISU under the “XISU Scholar” project. He is Chief of the Interpretation Service at the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG). Between 1979 and 1984, he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, during which he worked on loan as a translator at Foreign Languages Press for one year and then was enrolled in the UN training program for another year. Between 1984 and 1987 he served as the verbatim reporter in the UN. Since the year of 1987, he has been working in the UNOG for nearly 30 years.
