Dr. LV Shisheng (吕世生) is a distinguished adjunct professor at XISU under the “XISU Scholar” project. He is a full-time professor of translation studies at the College of Foreign Languages at Nankai University. He holds a BA in English literature, an MA in Translation Studies and a PhD in Economics from Nankai University. He has twelve years of experience as a full time technical and business interpreter and translator in China Petroleum Corp. His academic interests include Literary Translation and Culture Studies, among others. He is currently offering courses including A Comparative Study of Chinese and English Languages, and Literary Translation Studies for the post graduate program at Nankai University. He has published eighteen CSSCI- or SSCI-indexed research articles in addition to academic monographs over the past five years and has been working on a State funded project in drama translation.
