Wang Weigang (王维刚) is a lecturer of the School of Translation Studies at Xi’an International Studies University and Oral Examiner of a number of English tests including BEC and PETS. He has been involved in teaching and research in the domain of translator education. His major courses include Chinese Society and Culture, Translation and Intercultural Communication, Language Proficiency Enhancement and Introduction to Interpreting. He has studied at the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (2008-2009) and in the University of Waterloo in Canada (2011-2013). He also worked as a temporary public servant in the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges in the Ministry of Education of China (2009-2011).
