Zeng Ashan (曾阿珊) is a lecturer in the School of Translation Studies at Xi’an International Studies University. She graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies with a Master’s degree in simultaneous interpreting. From August 2014 to May 2015, she taught Chinese in the USA under the China-US FLTA (Foreign Language Teaching Assistant) program. She has been teaching such courses as consecutive interpreting, conference listening and minutes writing, community interpreting and sight translation. She holds the CATTI Level 2 certificate for interpreting and is a member of both Translators Association of China and Shaanxi Provincial Translators Association. She has worked as a simultaneous interpreter or a consecutive interpreter for a number of international conferences. She also provides interpreting services for Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government, Foreign Affairs Office of Xi’an Municipal People’s Government and China Council for the Promotion of international Trade Shaanxi Sub-council.
