XISU's School of Translation Studies (STS) enjoys fully-fledged software and hardware facilities and resources for translation teaching and practice. Two simultaneous interpreting laboratories, one simultaneous interpreting meeting room and two CAT (computer-assisted translation) laboratories have been established. The CAT laboratory is equipped with Trados and other well-known CAT software, forming an advanced CAT teaching platform.

　　The STS boasts a large number of books related to translation and students can also seek the information they want from well-known databases. Moreover, there are two-way information-exchange channels regarding translation teaching and research between the STS and Conférence Internationale permanente d’Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interprètes (CIUTI), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Shanghai Jiaotong University, which is quite helpful for both translation research and students from the STS.
